Cavernous People was originally the name of the musical duo formed by Nicholas Potthoff and Todd Wright. Together, they have written and produced music with the intention of inspiring listeners—music which lifts you emotionally. Now, while primarily working as a solo artist, Nicholas has adopted the name Cavernous People as the official production label for his composing career. He still maintains a close relationship with Todd, who continues his own success with Hafking Studios.

Nicholas has been a musician for most of his life, and now channels that experience into his pursuit of becoming a successful composer. Using state of the art hardware and software to create compositions which range from the incredibly dramatic and emotional to even comedic, he has learned by putting his best foot forward, and continues to do so with every new work. He has worked closely and consistently with Virginia-based filmmaker, Trent Welstead, for several years. They’ve collaborated on many short films and, most recently, a feature length documentary titled, A Story Revealed, for which Nicholas has released his debut motion picture score, available on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music, among other platforms. Eager to learn and embrace challenges, Nicholas is always looking for new projects!
